Facilities

Apostles has been in the current facility since 2006. The church rents space to St. Patrick’s Anglican Church, a congregation that was originally a plant out of Apostles. St. Patrick’s is the only other Anglican congregation within Fayette County. Their Sunday service meets in the sanctuary at 4:30 pm.

The current facility has a single sanctuary that seats around 200 and includes an organ and piano. Stained glass, icons, and children’s art adorn the windows and sanctuary. A custom baptismal font is located at the rear of the sanctuary. A Fellowship Hall with a full kitchen is located below the sanctuary; this is the primary space for Parish luncheons and meetings, Bible studies, and special event receptions.

A two-level building adjacent to the sanctuary and fellowship hall spaces is connected via an entry area for parishioners to grab coffee, water, and doughnuts on Sunday. The adjacent building houses the church offices, a conference room, two children’s ministry areas known as the Atrium, a third children’s ministry area used primarily by St. Patrick’s, a nursery, a kitchenette, a small library, and a set of bathrooms on the uppermost floor. The lower floor houses several meeting rooms, the youth room, a chapel space, offices for the staff of St. Patrick’s Anglican Church, and another set of bathrooms. An elevator is available.

Lay volunteers have beautified the grounds with landscaping. Recent upgrades to our facility have included a new roof (2018), a new sanctuary sound system (2019), a new HVAC system and new sanctuary windows (2020), and new lighting for the Fellowship Hall and exterior (2023). The youth room is currently undergoing a renovation to include new flooring, electrical outlets, cabinetry and storage, paint, and lighting.

Further upgrades or renovations needed in the near future include a new organ in the sanctuary, roof sealing for repeated water leaks over the flat-roofed entry area, and both plumbing and lighting upgrades to the bathrooms.

In addition to the church itself, there is also a parish house situated on the church property. The house abuts the church parking lot. The house has been the home of past and present youth and children’s ministry staff members. Samuel and Maddie Hood, the current youth minister and contemporary worship minister respectively, are current tenants. Built in 1953, the church house is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom ranch on an unfinished basement, with approximately 1,600 square feet. The backyard space is a frequent summer gathering place for the youth group. A major renovation to this house, which included upgrades to the kitchen, bathroom, and exterior, occurred in 2022.
